Events

ISACA Bangalore Chapter conducts various events throughout the year including Continuing Professional education sessions(CPE's), training programs on COBIT, Special training programs on various subjects of interest to Chapter members and non-members, professionals in the field etc.

Apart from CPE sessions and training programs, review classes to enable CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC exam takers to prepare for the exam are also conducted.

The Chapter also hosts a two day annual conference each year which is well attended and is much sought after.

Events such as the CPE sessions are usually free for both members and non-members and enable members to also CPE credits required to retain their respective certifications.

The chapter also supports programs conducted by other organizations such as ISO 27001 lead auditor programs and other programs of interest to its members.

Session Abstract:

The session will cover User and Entity Behavioural Analysis (UEBA) - the what, why and how of UEBA. The session will go through the various use cases of UEBA, comparison between UEBA and SIEM / other monitoring solutions and how they differ / complement each other. We will also explore the advantages and concerns around use of UEBA. We finally wind up the session discussing what the future holds for UEBA

Speaker profile:

Nitin Dhavate is a Privacy and Information Security professional with experience in multiple domains such as Data Privacy, Identity Management, Infrastructure and Cloud Security. He has played key roles in Consulting, Presales, Delivery and Operations spanning across Privacy and Data Protection, Enterprise Security, Cloud solutions, Infrastructure services and Program Management.

 

Nitin has earned several designations such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, Certified Solution Advisor – Cloud Computing from leading institutions. Outside office work he teaches Robotics to school kids and is also into the Maker culture primarily tinkering around using the Arduino platform.
