ISACA Bangalore Chapter conducts various events throughout the year including Continuing Professional education sessions(CPE's), training programs on COBIT, Special training programs on various subjects of interest to Chapter members and non-members, professionals in the field etc.

Apart from CPE sessions and training programs, review classes to enable CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC exam takers to prepare for the exam are also conducted.

The Chapter also hosts a two day annual conference each year which is well attended and is much sought after.

Events such as the CPE sessions are usually free for both members and non-members and enable members to also CPE credits required to retain their respective certifications.

The chapter also supports programs conducted by other organizations such as ISO 27001 lead auditor programs and other programs of interest to its members.

Session Abstract:

The session would start with a brief description on what Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) are and how they are different from a one-time attack, examples of APTs, a brief story related to Stuxnet, stages of an APT attack cycle, assessment of risks posed by APTs and finally, control assessments for APTs.

An Internal Auditor at Dell Inc. with over 8 years of experience in embedded systems programming, user access controls, ITGC and SOX. An inquisitive and a self-taught security researcher hobbyist evolving day by day. A graduate in Electronics and communication engineering who loves to make and break circuits and believes that the Assembly language is used by God to communicate with his computer.


A budding researcher who loves to try everything from cognitive computing to IoT to Quantum computing to hardware security. Currently breaking things and finding shields for the exploits using Arduino, Raspberry and Orange Pi modules. Also researching on the effect of non-biodegradable sources of energy v/s effects of clean energy. A Solar paint that would generate clean energy is on the way soon…
