Workshop Objectives: Organisations need to understand IT Governance. This two-day workshop will concentrate on implementation aspects of IT Governance and focus on the use of CobiT to achieve this. The workshop is case study oriented and is designed to help you in understanding what it takes to implement the CobiT framework in your organization and how you can organize a route towards implementation of CobiT. This ISACA accredited CobiT workshop is for those who have a fundamental working knowledge of CobiT, but lack practical IT management and governance implementation experience. Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to: • Understand ITGI’s approach to an IT governance implementation based on the IT Governance Implementation Guide, 2nd Edition. • Understand the implementation road map and how CobiT and ValIT support each step of the implementation. • Identify and know when to use the various components of CobiT and ValIT. • Scope and plan IT governance initiatives based on CobiT and ValIT. • Assess process capability using CobiT maturity models. • Plan improvements using control objectives and control practices. • Create a performance measurement framework using CobiT metrics and the balanced scorecard. • Sustain the IT governance implementation. • Consider practical implementation factors. • Be aware of CobiT implementation support from ISACA The Facilitator: Mr. A.Rafeq, FCA, CISA, CGEIT, CIA, CCSA, is an IT Governance and assurance professional with experience over 25 years in varied roles such as CFO, CIO, IT implementer, IT consultant, IT Auditor and CobiT Trainer. He is CobiT user and implementer for over 12 years and is a well-known CobiT evangelist. Rafeq has made presentations on IT Governance, IT assurance and CobiT implementation at international conference of ISACA across the world since a decade. He is a globally recognized trainer on CobiT and has conducted more than 100 days of training on CobiT. He is well-versed with various components of CobiT and his workshops are popular for de-mystifying and simplifying CobiT usage. Rafeq is founder secretary and past president of ISACA, Bangalore chapter. He is member of CGEIT Certification Board of ISACA, USA and Chairman of ISACA, GRA Task Force, Asia. Prerequisites: The attendee should have passed the CobiT Foundation Exam before attending this workshop. Those who have attended 1-day workshop on CobiT conducted by ISACA, Bangalore chapter are eligible to attend the workshop without passing the CobiT Foundation Exam.
