Background on Item Writing: An ‘Item’ is a question for ISACA’s certification exams for CISA®, CISM® or CGEIT®. An item could be contributed by anybody, ISACA certification is not essential. There are thousands of such Items developed by volunteers. An item development goes through a structured and rigorous process of review. We’ll learn more about it in this workshop. Items are always welcome by ISACA, but occasionally there is some need for items in specific domains.

What a volunteer gains:

  • Peps up creativity to design choices (options) of an item
  • Boosts an applied research to come up with a stem (body) of an item
  • Thus, encourages one to study the audit/ security/assurance domains
  • Concrete gain of US$ 50 (100 in some cases) per item accepted finally by ISACA
  • Gain 4 CPE Credits for attending the session

Program Contents:

  • About ISACA, ‘Items’ and Item Writing Guide
  • Basics of Item Writing
